I removed my gallbladder in 2007. I can still drink any kind of alcohol, I’ve had vodka, beer, rum, cocktails, shots etc. But after I have way too much I start throwing up, both alcohol and bile (that never used to happen). I would still feel a bit buzzed in the morning and have some strange bowel movements. (This is also happens when I haven’t eaten anything for more than 6 hours on end). I also noticed that I have “food poisoning” (or that’s just what the doctors call it) and throw up bile at least 6-7 times consecutively; this would happen around two times a year and there was no specific kind of food (fatty vs. healthy) that would trigger it, just random. “Change in weather” , “food poisoning” or “oh, some virus”, they would say.
