– gallstones removal,
– gallbladder polyps removal,
– removing gallstones from bile duct.
Read more about new type of gallbladder surgery (gallbladder preserving cholelithotomy) on the page “About surgery”.
The unique device for minimally invasive gallbladder surgery was invented and patented in China, produced in Germany.
The gallbladder disease explore programme, device and technologies inventions are supported and financed by Administration of Guangzhou city. Chinese TV channels and print media usually visit our hospital events.
Today our Institute has more than 900 state patents for investogations and new device keeps appearing. More than 6000 surgeries for chinese and foreign patients were successfully performed for the last 10 years. In 2007 the device for gallbladder minimally invasive surgery was upgraded.
Our hospital under the leadership of inventor Dr. Qiao accepts foreign patients for surgery since 2012. Weekly from 1 to 4 foreign patients and 3 – 8 chinese go through gallbladder surgery and keep their gallbladders. Since that time we perform more than 100 gallstones and polyps removal surgeries every year for people from different countries (USA, UK, Australia, Finland, Switzerland, Spain, Russia, Ukraine, Panama, South Africa, Dubai, Singapore, Malaysia) by Dr.Qiao and his surgeon’s team.
For now, we perform a gallbladder cholelithotomy only in China and there are no any representative officies in the other countries! We do not sell the technology and endoscopes to any other hospitals in the world. Our team is not responsible for any doctor, who states he performs the same surgery by our technology with our devices. Please, be careful.
It’s better to plan a trip beforehand, minimum one week before, because you will need time to get doctor’s permission for making surgery (by examination results), preliminary ward reservation, time for obtaining visas, buying airtickets.
All trip to Guangzhou takes from 7 to 9 days. You will be consulted by all questions step by step by e-mail or phone.
Every day doctors have to refuse someone on the basis of surgery contraindications (serious diseases of organs, blood, skin, overweight, gallbladder inflammation, deformed gallbladder etc.)
Stone size and it’s amount have no meaning for gallbladder-preserving cholelithotomy. All necessary equipment and devices have been invented for taking out stones of any size and any shape. Next day after arriving to the hospital every patient goes through careful examination (Read about examination details on the page “Before surgery”), so all surgeries are successful.
Some people don’t need a surgery at all, according to their USI (few small polyps, sand, sludge, flakes). In this case, we will suggest you a treatment programme. This is for free. All files examining is also for free. Don’t hesitate to send your ultrasound or any message.

Removal of gallbladder side effects
The Gall Bladder is a pear-shaped organ located under the liver. It is a membranous sac and can hold about 50 ml of fluid. It stores the bile produced by the liver and releases it into the duodenum, in small quantities, through the bile duct. Bile, which is greenish-brown in color, is a digestive enzyme and helps in digestion.
Sometimes, the gall bladder may become diseased. Since its function is also to absorb the inorganic salts in the bile, this may sometimes lead to formation of gallstones. When these stones get stuck in the tiny ducts of the gall bladder, the bile is unable to flow out in a normal manner. This can cause inflammation either in the ducts, or the gall bladder, and sometimes even in the liver.
Gallstones tend to occur when the bile contains extra large quantities of bilirubin or cholesterol, or if it does not contain sufficient bile salts, and in some cases when the gall bladder is unable to empty out regularly or completely.
The patient experiences excruciating pain in the abdomen. It is also a dangerous condition, since there are chances of infection occurring not just in the bladder, but also in the pancreas or liver. If no steps are taken, fever and jaundice might occur. In these circumstances, few years ago the only remedy was to surgically remove the gall bladder altogether.
But gallbladder removal surgery was not a magical cure, and it comes with its own set of post-operative problems.
Most patients complain of severe digestive disorders. Feeling bloated and heavy after a meal is a common complaint.
Then there are those who develop acute diarrhea, and need to empty their bowels many times in the day. For some the need arises immediately after eating a meal, while in worse cases, it happens even during the process of eating.
In some rare cases, constipation is reported. Most post-operative patients complain of immense weight gain after the removal of this organ. Weight loss is unusual, though that too has been reported occasionally, especially in cases related to excessive diarrhea.
The impaired digestion also causes gas and heartburn. While Gall Bladder Removal was often done to get rid of the pain caused by the stones, many patients still experience pain and nausea, weeks and months after the surgery.
Doctors recommend a healthy diet which is low on processed sugars, salts and fat for those who have had their gall bladder removed. Combined with this, they also prescribe a dosage of bile salts, to aid digestion.
Complications and side effects after gallbladder removal surgery:
- temporary or chronic diarrhea
- heartburn
- nausea
- constipation
- pain on the right side of abdomen
- stomach pain
- weight gain
- weight loss
- inability to digest fat in the saturated and hydrogenated form
- inability to consume certain foods
- less secretion of bile leading to problems in digestion
- pancreatitis
- hepatosis
- cholangitis
- bile stone formation
