Repair must be done early, by an experienced biliary specialist, for best outcome and is NOT for novices to perform. We don’t get that, however. We get the cheapo, quicky patch-job done by the bumbling trainee who just botched our gallbladder surgery that can be sneaked in through a 1″-2″ cut at the uppermost trocar site. Then we are lied to, sent home, and deliberately left untreated for whatever manifests as the “repair” inevitably fails.
